Nanchang Grand Theatre wins Silver Award at CREDAWARD 2025

Nanchang Grand Theatre has won the Silver Award in the Social & Public Category at the 11th CREDAWARD in China.

Jyri Eskola, PES-Architects Partner and Development Director, participated in the Gold & Silver Award Competition Session of the CREDAWARD Design Awards at the Shanghai Pudong Exhibition Center on 11 September 2025. Standing out among 1,042 projects submitted by 295 institutions, Nanchang Grand Theatre competed for the Gold & Silver Awards, ultimately claiming the Silver Award.

The prestigious CREDAWARD recognises Chinese and global urban regeneration and architecture projects that spread cutting-edge design concepts, contribute to sustainable development, and lead the path to future urban development. The jury of leading academics and top urban developers apply judging criteria emphasising architectural aesthetics, environmental preservation, user experience and economic benefits.

Jyri also participated in the DJSER Conference - Urban Regeneration Theme Session, delivering a keynote speech titled "Nordic Urban Renewal." Urban regeneration has been a consistent theme throughout PES-Architects' history, encompassing both individual building projects and broader district revitalisations.
